After a delay in LA and a bit of a longer flight due to a change in flight plan (major storms in the south Pacific), we landed in Sydney to be greeted by the smiling faces of Mykee and Faith. The flight was great in that it was very smooth, but how do you say AWESOME when you’ve just spent 15 hours sitting upright in a space where you can’t even see your toes and just slept 2 hours in the last 40. Oh, why does business class have to cost so much? 🙂 Anyway, we dumped our luggage off at the apartment and went on a walk-about to meet Britt at the train station and then off to China town for some Indian food (huh?!). Soon it was time for a much needed short nap and then it was off to church to see Mykee play in the service. Amazing service!! We picked up our one bag of clothes and zoomed back to the airport and staying in a hotel tonight as we are off to the Great Barrier Reef in the morning! What a fabulous first day down-under and Jamie says it was wonderful Father’s Day spending time with the kids (and some more newly adopted kids from Hillsong).
